Nu slechts € 9,99 The faithful had a bit of wait between HOME XIII and this disc, but it proved to be well worth the delay. Home has always had a way with a great melody, and this disc contains some of the band's most accessible and heartfelt material to date. Perhaps the fact that XIV was recorded in Woodstock, NY, with the spirit of Big Pink looming large, explains why ''Burden'' sounds like some great, lost track from the Band. ''Truly Judy'' is just too damn infectious for words. ''Contract'' is the perfect soundtrack for a Badalamenti/Lynch nightmare nightclub setting. The song crashes right into ''Children's Suite'', which oughta put the foam on the latte for any fan of Van Dyke Parks. Home is in that perfect artistic place where the group can do anything from a hip-hop/polka hybrid to a radio-static sonata and still sound exactly like itself. Great music that sounds better with every listen.
