Actually, Quest have always shown nothing but love for hip-hop, but as the '90s progressed, a parade of selfish, cocky MCs shifted rap's original focus from making people happy to making money. So after a ten-year run, Q-Tip, Phife and Ali Shaheed are closing down shop, but not without leaving us one last gem by which to remember them. THE LOVE MOVEMENT is a much simpler album than what Tribe followers have been brought up on. The Ummah, a production team made up of Tip, Ali and Jay Dee, has brought a slightly newer twist to Tribe's music. Where songs like ''Find A Way'' and ''The Love'' are reminiscent of the abstract sound that the trio best exemplifies, new flavours like ''Give Me'' and ''Steppin' It Up'' show their diversity. Still the best at what they do, Tribe Called Quest verify their irreplaceability on THE LOVE MOVEMENT.
