The classic ''Brown-Eyed Girl'' is the closest Morrison has ever come to a pop song, and it remains a sparkling, infectious gem. The dark, fatalistic blues workout ''T.B. Sheets'' is closer to the improvisatory, impressionistic style Morrison would soon perfect on ASTRAL WEEKS. It is one of the most chilling vocal performances he has ever put on record.
