Nu slechts € 6,99 Though technically a product of the so-called New Wave of Finnish Death Metal, Enter My Silence is more accurately described as a faithful exponent of the popular Gothenburg sound launched nearly a decade earlier by the so-called New Wave of Swedish Death Metal. Yes, it's all rather confusing, but bear with us. By tempering their death metal brutality with no small amounts of melody and keyboard atmospherics, album highlights like ''Articulate'' and ''Loss of the Leading One'' feature memorable riffs and a good grasp of songwriting dynamics. But for all their merits, otherwise fine offerings like ''Irrelevant,'' ''Inhale/Exhale,'' and ''Nevernity'' owe a tremendous debt to neighboring Swedes In Flames and Dark Tranquility. And in an already cluttered scene, this sameness, unfortunately, becomes a major concern. Still, the quality ingredients are all here, and Enter My Silence may turn some heads if they prove capable of forging their own identity. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
