Amid the dark, swampy grooves found on this Pickett career summary, one can discern echoes of everything from the Gun Club's punky blues to the rock noir of X, with trace elements of the Rolling Stones at their edgiest and garage rockers like the Flamin' Groovies (whose classic ''Shake Some Action'' is covered here).
