For one thing, according to some other sources, some of these groups weren't even from Louisiana. Most of it's unimaginative derivations from the standard garage template. Yet, as is often the case on such mediocre anthologies, there's a true gem amidst the crowd; in this case it's the Bad Boys' ''Love,'' an excellent raunchy white Soul number in the mold of Mitch Ryder. ~ Richie Unterberger
