Nu slechts € 10,50 Before Freddie Mercury's death in November of 1991, Queen recorded a number of rough tracks, knowing that the end of his life was near. All of Mercury's vocal tracks were finished, but the backing tracks were incomplete. It took Queen two years before they started working on the record and another two before the resulting album, Made in Heaven, was released. As a posthumous release, it is very good; in many ways it's a stronger, and more consistent, album than their last record, Innuendo. It's clear that Mercury was struggling throughout the recording, as the quality of his voice varies throughout the album. However, when he's on, as on the bluesy ''Mother Love,'' the results are as good as anything Queen released since The Game. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
