Nu slechts € 14,99 Rev-Ola's reissue of Martin Denny's classic Exotica, Vol. 2 is literally twice as long as either the album or the original CD issue. In mood it's more subdued and a bit less adventurous. Basically, what's presented here in some ramshackle order are all of the mono and stereo mixes of the album tracks so, quite literally, you get the same album twice, back to back. But given the wider sound of the stereo mixes and an excellent remastering job for compact disc, it's like hearing two different albums. The stereo mixes don't pick up the tempo much, but they add enough extra space and other sounds that are either nonexistent or flat on the mono set that they feel like two very different offerings. Recommended to those who already bought this disc on CD in its original form. ~ Thom Jurek
